A Dent At Human Vanity
P K Routray
A nest by a meek bird swings with air
cyclone or tornado it does not care
as if making fun at wise man’s shocking plight
with blown roof, drowned road and no light.
The chicks of the weaver birds stay in cozy comfort
deprived are human children inspire of best effort
Looking at the beauty of such living abode
acknowledges the man defeat with head bowed.
Design, engineering and craftsmanship of its nest
man can never match even with their effort best
The selection of sticks and the exquisite artistry
bring the vanity in self crowned man to his knee.
Human wisdom worships beauty, love and silence
of all these three this weaver bird is the quintessence.
