A Divine Cycle
P K Routray
Clouds burst with thunder
lightening for a moment its arts of wonder
on the canvass of the blue sky with dark cloud cover,
the sun and the moon hidden behind being sheer observer,
pouring then the cool water
as if arts, craft and poetry are in symphony together,
either in torrent
or in slow droplet dropping intermittent
garmenting the earth below
with molten pearls’ flow
to streams and rivers,
lake and reservoirs
with ultimate intention
of union with vast ocean
because of its inborn affinity
where it will stay in bliss with infinity,
then vanish in to the sky
with the sun smiling from its height high.
Then again they form water droplets
a group of them forming cloud carpets.
Thus goes this divine cycle of water on and on
singing in praise of the Lord serving His creation.
