Once I allotted a space to the vast sky measuring a mile,
Then I waited in vain glancing at the sky to smile.
Once I added a shell full of water to the deep sea,
then I waited in vain for the sea to swell so that my own feat proudly I can see.

In college to win the heart of a girl of my choice,
toiling hard, burning midnight lamp I won debate and represented college in soccer for her to rejoice.
But it proved to be a shell full of water adding to a deep sea
and allotting a mile to vast sky, then own feat to watch and proudly see.

I purchased coziest flat, choicest furniture and a luxury car
I thought my need was met but it was cry far
It was just like adding a shell full of water to a deep sea
