Fifty years, back if I go

Fifty years, if the time moves back

like a replay of games on field or track

with exception that I only remember

“How, why and what in the erased period did occur.”

Can I change the course of my life

avoiding mishaps, failures, blunders and strife?

A question I posed to myself to reflect upon

here are some thoughts to amuse younger generation.

Many wrongs made and errors committed

many lapses occurred, good deeds omitted

all those I shall certainly rectify, I am sure

but hope things happened earlier will do occur, somebody has to ensure.

Repent I today for not reciprocating them, the love

who showered on me without return and gone above.

My grandmother, my father and many well wishers

to them I owe gratitude, to return a bit my heart always nurtures.

Recognize well I now enemy among friends and friend among enemies

careful I shall be to them and to atone and for remedy all opportunities I shall seize.

Earn, save and nurture the wealth to aid me after years added to my age

time fleets before one feels the pinch but it becomes too late when one realizes to salvage.

Cherish I today the advice of my well-wishers grey haired and experienced

turning deaf ears to them with craze of young days, by them  I never got influenced.

Listen I must the wisdom of elders from their experiences of life

follow I shall by words with due respect and sincerity to boldly face latter the struggle and strife.

Hey God! Know I these are my day dreams to imagine

but I bless the youngsters of today old agers tomorrow with rapt attention to listen.
