Fun with soul

Immortal is the soul.

To perform a role

assigned from the above

it puts up a body as a robe

till its role from the earth is over

then it casts off the body forever.

It is a scriptural stipulation

professed by many a religion.

Hence the man is advised to shun

his bodily attachment and affection.

For more than seventy years

a human body the soul wears

sharing its pleasure and pain.

then from its attachment how can a soul refrain?

Further disobedience is a human nature

for sometimes he exhibits such a behavior

clinging on to the body after death

as for so many years the body was his dearest wealth.

But here a funny idea strikes this naive author

on the voyage of souls after death till it obeys an order.

Knowing the weakness of its own body just thrown,

Why will the soul not hover around the dead body of a celebrated person

or around more healthy handsome man or a youth accident victim,

or around its loved living beloved who might or might not be grief stricken?

If my above apprehensions hold true,

the own soul of the celebrity will be lost in a queue.

It has to repent for its earthly success

to its departed body now being bereft of the access.

To avoid many confusion

appeal I to my scientist brother for an invention

to fit an electronic camera to a departing soul

to keep its track and to view it in different role.
