His Unique Creation
P K Routray
A playwright and a poet
on earth all time great
never again will appear
another wizard Shakespeare.
He left his mortal body to day
four centuries back we may say,
twenty-third April Sixteen thousand sixteen, today
we fondly remember him with reverence and awe
Certainly he is a God in incarnation to enrich literary world for ever,
His creation across age, countries, and languages will die never.
Though he has left his mortal body leaving the earth poorer
But his creation will reverberate on palm leaf, paper and on ether.
Humanity past, present and future will miss his mortal presence
But his sonnets, plays with shylock like characters will never ever create his absence.
On this day, with bent knee and bowed head respect to him we pay
For peace and bliss of his soul, to the Almighty we pray.
(On 23rd April 1616 Shakespear left his mortal body)
