Human sufferings and the Hindu philosophy
P K Routray
The main cause of human suffering,
is the worldly desires, which are never ending.
Desire results from man’s ignorance,
on his own self with the conception on soul and its significance.
The Hindu scriptures tell with authoritarian emphasis,
that the soul is changeless and eternal bliss
Our soul is a part of super soul,
to get liberated from cycle of birth and death remains as man’s real wisdom and goal.
The Almighty is SAT _ CHIT_ ANAND as per the Sanskrit vocabulary,
Their befitting translations may not be found in English dictionary.
Sat means something which is real, did exist, exist and will exist for eternity,
and it is indestructible, imperishable but assumes forms as per an assigned duty.
Chit is knowledge of the whole of creation.
Anand stands for eternal bliss within a person.
Hence self with sufferings cannot be soul but may be an illusion of body and mind,
They are logically our limitation as we find.
Attachment, fear of death, ego and our liking and disliking
are result of our ignorance
about soul and nothing.
In special mirrors in a children park,
On our reflection many a change we mark.
With light our shadow varies in shape and size,
In both the cases pain out of bodily attachment does never arise.
if you see the change in your structure in children’s funny mirror you do not bother,
On both the cases you are sure,
You are neither of them; hence you do not care,
learn to treat your body as a shadow or as fun in mirror, hence to its attachment beware.
with death soul goes from one body to another,
Hence soul being Sat- chit-Anand does never suffer.
It is body and attachment to body which brings pains and sufferings,
to be ever in bliss this wisdom should be inculcated in all human beings.
