Oh eyelid I salute you,
I also salute your creator too.
Much is spend, thought for eye and eyebrow,
For your care not a penny anybody does throw.
There are eulogies for eye and eyebrow,
In between you stay pressed, nobody does bow.
When I do not want to see an ugly scene,
At my inkling, in between you put a screen.
When I want to be alone in contemplation,
searching for peace and bliss of my own.
You come forward to obey my order,
isolate me from the world with your smooth shutter.
When I want peace and rest,
You come to my rescue at my behest.
You close my covetous eye,
when out off lust I look at beauty with passionate joy.
