An Impression
P K Routray
A deliberation
on human disposition, an impression
by the acts of mind and intellect
and by family, society and sect
is worth for a discussion
with philosophies from all religions.
To tell a lie or not to tell the lie
at times dilemmas in us vie.
Mind poses two lawyers for the case
to argue out taking man’s imprinted impression as the base
Intellect is the judge to give the judgment
as per the weights of both sides’ argument.
Truth loses often to lie
when for our greedy gain we are not shyu.
The judgment is recorded in our disposition
obscurig our brighter traits to oblivion.
in future over truth this eases the lie to score
referring the judgments already in store.
They all are imprinted in our dispositions,
then we are gradually transferred from divine to demons.
