Jungle rule.
P K Routray
We look at this rule in disdain,
We feel there “Might is right” reign.
Lions live, dears live, carnivorous live also herbivorous live,
With their inherent instinct and habit they survive.
Rabbits live deers live but grasses do not lament,
Neither have they got exhausted even though they are grazed over centuries to their hearts content.
Tornado comes, floods comes trees are uprooted and swept,
They again come back to give fruits and roots to others and the calamities without grudge they accept
Yes it is a fact that in a jungle all do exist in harmony,
Though lacking in human like qualities, they do not seem to have emotional agony any.
They do not have greed of grabbing wealth and no need for protection of police,
No underworld, no terrorist nor there exist any form of political malice.
No craving for luxury and comfort, no semblance of corruption
No falsehood exists to sow the seed of pollution.
They live in peace and bliss amidst splendor of nature.
with symphony of the flora and fauna, the grandeur of blossoms of myriad color.
Why do we call man is superior having mind, intellect and memory?
He hardly can spare any time and interest to enjoy His beauty with life’s worries and misery.
All scientific inventions by intelligent man is not for his need but for his greed,
Enmity, hatred and complexity of selfish motives of man outweigh animal’s limited deed and need.
More the civilization grows and more the so called wisdom,
Man’s desire spreads like wild fire to which he does succumb.
Hence perhaps Jungle rule is better than manmade rules of civility,
I pray God to return man to Stone Age to live in the forest with other animals in harmony and humility.
