Life
P K Routray
Whatever I wanted, much I never got,
whatever I got, much I never wanted,
whatever I got, I never thought,
whatever I thought, I never got,
whatever I lost, I long them ever,
whatever I have got, I cannot treasure.
The poor travels miles for sake of food
the rich runs miles to digest food.
For some one square meal they cannot find
for some to take meals time they can hardly find.
Some are helpless hence they suffer,
some suffer hence they are helpless.
Some leave bread for their own loved ones,
some leave their own loved ones for sake of bread.
There was time at a a slight pain we cried with tears
now we tolerate hardship, hardest pains without murmur.
In past friendship we could break and make in no time
but now one fight breaks ther friendship for all the time.
Once we lived amidst friends
but now we live with memory of friends.
How strange is our human life?
It is certainly a mystery with suspense, joy and strife.
