Is maturity a state of puberty

or graduation from a university

or attainment of a certain age

when the color in others one’s feelings gauge?

None of these as per scripture I just read.

Here are they for you as they are said

To you maturity, it brings

when you detach happiness from material things,

between “ Need” and “ Want” you differentiate

and your “ Wants” you abdicate,

with yourself you are at peace

“ Comparison with others” you cease,

when to the world you do not try to prove

“How intelligent you are” them to approve.

whatever you do is for your own peace

you understand it and be quiesce.

Matured you become in scriptural opinion

when you give for the sake of giving without expectation,

when others, you stop trying to alter

instead change within you, you author.

In their own perspective everybody is right

you are matured when you understand it.

Accepting people as they exist

you have matured as per the script.
