My Recalls
Hey Bou!
I owe to you,
dues immeasurable
for agonies terrible
that you have borne for me.
“Hey Lord! Listen to my plea
before with mom my recall
to you and others, I squall
her, I pray you to pardon
on any errs she has done
as I am sure those she did for me,
hence punish me but make her free”.
Hey Mom!
Recollect I some
from my memory lane
minute pebbles from the vast terrain.
Restlessness in your womb
still infant in me fume,
Your force to put on
the dresses without button,
forces, from me, my life out
the child in me still peeps to shout.
. Child in me rebel
when I dwell
your smear on my eyelid
too irritating to a kid
the black paste to my benefit
so also sweaters from your knit.
Your efforts to present me smart
to be free of filth, dust, and dirt
and not to be victim of evil spell
made child in me to yell.
On occasions frequent
to your resentment
soon, it all, I used to spoil.
Now I sigh at your repeated toil
After me your run
cherish me to my fun.
Your anger in the murmur
accusing me as of pig nature
monkey-faced child and so on
to force in me the nutrition
to my distaste
but you chased.
You gave me milk with sugar
instead of my taste for rice water
with a side dish
as per my fancied wish.
Recollect I my anger as a child
that makes me now laugh wild.
“With you, mom
to your dad’s home
by “Sawari” ride”
Talk I still with pride..
Being irritated
by my prayer repeated
when dots you threw
in a Luduu move new
me you clapped once
so far to my sweet reference
On eevery raja day
I cherish the play.
All these and many more
from you I fondly remember
Dishes cooked and served by you
tasted nectar then and now too.
Epics will fall short to dwell
if recollections, I start to tell
but in life at every moment
me, memories will torment.
From childhood to this old age
your love, none can gauge.
behind my every recall
that, me, does often enthrall
in the service of lord
(I lost my mother whom I call “Bou” She left her mortal body at an age of ninety-two and I was born when she was nineteen. Here are some recollections with her in my childhood. Sawari like a palanquin but enclosed all-around.
