A noble profession

Needs the society a doctor

to get cured, if from diseases they suffer.

Need the society a pleader

to seek justice, if from injustice they suffer

But need the society an engineer

to flourish and prosper.

Only if the society exists

needs it, the poets and artists.

Scientists get engrossed on invention

but engineers convert them for man’s satisfaction.

Theories on paper without application

like reading mathematical fiction for recreation.

Feel we, engineering is a unique profession

with noble ambition and holy mission

to serve the society

and prospering with its prosperity,

to construct and to convert energy to abet the humanity

with stability, security at highest efficiency and productivity.

Work, energy and power

aid the man, assist the man every hour.

Their sources are limited and few

to regenerate and to replenish the energy with future in view,

engineers are to be ethically on their toes

adding to the prosperity of the society but not adding to their woes.

Engineers have to work with full concern

on energy conversion, transmission,

distribution and end utilization

with economy and efficiency without environmental dilapidation.
