Patience and endurance
P K Routray
In conjugal life patience and endurance are keys for harmony,
Thus taught Thomas cooper a great English writer by example alien to many.
Wife and husband are two individuals having different identity,
Hence differences in their egos and desires would be ample and plenty.
Cooper took sixty long years,
While preparing English thesaurus
He could not give time for his family,
His wife got impatient and damn angry,
Once on the manuscript she put fire,
Cooper came back and saw it in despair.
But only coolly murmured “Another six years”,
and started his job again without any fuss.
Thus taught us his way of patience and endurance,
While bowing for his thesaurus, for this act we are grateful to him in abundance.
