“I am thirty eight and have a little daughter, three years old
I want to live further for her”.
Said pathetically Dr chakravarty a cancer patient with hands in fold.
“I am at advanced stage of cancer,
I have taken six round of chemo therapy and I need further.”
Brain has a malignant patch which needs ten rounds of radium ray,
The house owner has given him notice and he has to search another house to stay:
Is there any miracle to extend his life,
For sake of his little daughter and wife?
Pathetic was his appeal, cancer has caused him this peril.
Attachment and love must have taken grip on him This must be creating emotional turmoil thinking his future to be dim.
Unbearable must be his life so also that of his wife,
To free and express the same in words we may have to take many a life.
Each moment must be torturous and night must be sleepless,
Tasteless must be food, un-intesting less must be time and life must be aimless.
Time must be too heavy, how long can he bear?
Daughter is too pretty, all her babblings must be adding to their tear.
He phoned up telephoned to another cancer patient for showing him the path.
”You are sixty five, I am in thirties, tell me how I will survive nature’s wrath?”.
Over phone, they went on advising, listening and consoling each other on “How to live further”.
Both are selling in the same boat knowing fully well their end is very near.
We all will die may be to-day or to-morrow, it is as sure and certain as a plough’s furrow.
But they have been warned by the doctors, we are not,
Length of life is uncertain, however we live with a hope that we will live forever with joy and happiness but.
They are with the deadly disease, moments of their life is counted and may be any time, their breath may cease.
Death without prior notice does not torture,
But death with notice creates turmoil and horror.
Our Science and scientists found many a medicine for cure,
But many new deadly diseases appear everyday like AIDs and cancer.
For shake of our greed, we adulterate and poison our drinks and food,
Smoking drinking are tempting and rampant even knowing very well that they are not good.
Chakravarty sentimentally cursed his smoking habit for the cause,
It was the only had habit he was having, he told with a pause.
The other patient is Mishra aged about sixty five and has seen life to a greater extent
He had bad habit of smoking and chewing tobacco to to his wife’s discontent.
Both tell God is cruel to them,
With such minor vices they have to bear such cruel blame.
One of them was frantically searching for a miracle and for His mercy praying,
The other with timid face and tearful eyes must be searching for a miraculous blessing.
At times death comes without prior warning,
The man with no knowledge about his death till his last breath goes on enjoying.
But in these cases death is coming with fanfare and notice,
Making mockery on them and torturing them with all cruel practice.
In our earnest desire to do for them something,
Nothing we find except praying to Him.
Death, you take all in your grip with or without notice,
Though both are painful but you are too cruel to them suffering from deadly disease.
Hey Science and scientists, you are reaching Mars and about to create duplicate human being,
But you have no answer for such pathos of agony and suffering.
