Stop It By Any Means
P K Routray
Seventy years’ progress
on this earth I could assess
with my naïve bent of mind
- awed by the deteriorations around, I find
Beg I apology to put here facts bitter
The readers may criticize and differ.
Seventy years past and now if we compare
My heart bleeds to advise “ Hey Man! Beware.”
Then the children drank milk straight from cow
Now they drink treated, packed as diseases infect raw
With minerals and vitamins added or deleted as deemed fit
as man is in a position to find His lapses and to take the credit.
Then preventives to children were a few and far between
But still noticeable and pinpointed losses of life I have not seen.
Then a child used to run with a thin bag to his school
Now the child walking bent carries an oversized jumbo bag full
Then a child had a lot of leisure to run and play
But now they have no leisure the course is becoming tougher day by day.
An open airy field filled with school children has become a rare sight to see.
To a smart phone or to a net they go when from the studies they are set free.
Yes they tune their brain to understand Newton and Einstein at their teens
But a creation that I post here I request the experts to stop this by all means.
