A Tale of time
P K Routray
A bridge to cross
a vibrant river across,
had been built since ages,
its gracious service is hard to asses.
From passersby to poets
from ferocious animals to pets
to all it served till the time took its toll,
its strength and elegance, it stole.
It lay dilapidated and abandoned
till a dream a votary of nature envisioned
Built he a house over its safe span
to drink the scenic beauty as much as a man can.
But time sees an end to all
with its flow everything has to fall.
Old is replaced by new,
shocking, heart breaking but it is true.
With time house also lost the its strength and splendor
and has turned to a ghost house, at its ghastly sight even elders shiver.
Time! you are a thief to rob sweetness of all
But here at least write in History that this bridge had a glorious days to recall.

Heavenly Abode
P Gaan
Resting on pillars across the river
the heavenly abode will collapse never.
The right kind to live amidst nature
though dilapidated is its feature.
Away from the madding crowd
din and bustle free to be proud.
The gurgling water flowing beneath
blue firmament above drifting clouds white.
Lovers tryst in serene seclusion
Never to be missed by anyone.
