Through the tears of a boss
Hey Sadangi! To you
a tearful adieu
on your journey to eternity
by the Nalco fraternity
Stunned
saddened
on the sudden turn of events
where or a younger old laments,
at the death of a junior
cries his boss elder and senior
akin to a wailing father
losing his son, dear.
Hurt you, none
even on provocation
but as a retaliation
your smile has won
hearts, even made of stone
errs, critics if any did atone.
Against none
grieved you an opinion
not even on service discord
endured you, it as His award..
You spoke soft and sweet
acclaimed as a unique feat
to manage in an industry
where one has to parry
error-prone subordinate
superiors, illogical, and irate.
All that you did with cheers
for all your thirty-six years
since you joined as a fresher
“ Accolade to your Alma-mater.
Nalconian fraternity in tear
conveys its gratitude to her.”
With me, having no relation
as a brother, nephew or a son
neither any of my kith and kin
only a colleague you had been
but flowed from me tears nonstop
with wailing sound loud to top
those originated on their own
at the call of the horrendous phone
unaware of and uncared for none
age, surroundings, and social position.
Say me they as old matured
such loud cry may look absurd
turned I deranged and funny
so also must be Nalconians many
Still on I shall cry and cry for you
my tears are praises, to you, overdue.
Remember I, your welcome
to be with your dad and mum
to learn Geeta from your father
the hermitage feeling ever I treasure.
At heaven, they must be wailing
so early to them, Lord will bring
their son truncating his mortal stay
shocking his son and spouse in dismay.
You served as parents to your son
allowing your spouse to serve the nation,
serving old parents with care
as well as parents to a son, a role rare.
Hence at the family front you were unique.
Salute every one even your critic.
Reminisce I as a boss, your every deed
where you tower overall as a rare breed
Sarangi!, Even being your boss and a senior
accept you must, my reverence as a teacher
demonstrating me a karma yogi in action
to aid and support your dad’s deliberation.
In management parlance
yours will dazzle with brilliance
no hanky panky straight from the heart
captivating all, their best to part.
cry your subordinates in your memory
so also cry your seniors cherishing your glory.
Succumbed you
not to
pollutants we boo
on the shop floor
nor accident either
what you braved for years
and protected your juniors and peers
but to a pandemic
ignoring its safety basic
to perform rituals many
for heavenward journey
of your mother-in-law
at such time your love and faith, us, awe.
Fresh from college
at a tender age
straight on execution
and subsequently to commission
then asked to maintain and operate
training the raw subordinate
you did Nation proud
casting off the shroud
of the world over, the blur
Nalco’s latent power.
you shouldered the burden
on it, the success of Nalco depended upon.
On my forty years at works
in my heart etched are marks
for colleagues seniors and juniors
love, for them my heart nurtures
for their deeds wonder.
Them, you tower over
as a subordinate unique
revealed in you, Gita the great epic.
Now boast I with tears’ flow
I am fortunate to show
that I had Sadangi as subordinate
a divine being incarnated us to illuminate.
Hey Sadangi! Nalco collective
retired and on the job active
pray from their hearts’ abyss
for your departed soul, peace and bliss.
