A Wonderful Mystery
Woman as a mother
or as a sister or a daughter
or as a colleague or a consort
or any role men may entrust
remains as love incarnate.
In her love in all forms emanate
serving as nectar to man to live
even the entire creation to survive.
Man exists because of her
Hence to her man is indebted forever
But it is a note to wonder
at the pages of the Hindu scripture
the torture inflicted to a woman
leaving them insulted and broken
at both hands of god men and demon
the mystery is beyond my perception
Ravan was the demon and Ram is the Lord
at both hands the divine mother Sita suffered
despite being innocent and divine chaste
she had to appear the hardest fire test.
In epics Mahabharat Drupadi the great
her five great husbands lost her as a bet
and she has to face the ignominy, women hate
of being stripped before all sensors and celebrated as great
The Lord could only save her after Dhusa’s haul
not to protect a woman but at a devotee’s call.
Fail I to unveil the misty, Hey mother!
you smile after bearing the greatest pain of torture.
Blame I Lord Rama and Lord Krishna on their inaction
women suffered though differ may devotees interpretations.
