And Surely Unborn Attitude

and surely unborn attitude,
gestation must be over soon.
Awaiting you with infant's eyes
that glow with dancing light
reflected like the burning coals.
Searching over I have found
I know the tree of my belief
and wait now to believe belief,
eat the fruit from tree and grow.
Hard heart softens with each day,
encounters messages cacooned
in green glass bottles.
Corked circumstance.
Feather float, invisible sea,
casts down anchor - mystery.
Settles in this timeless hour,
upon my shirt sleeve,
softly drift.
Tired train in darkness sounds her horn.
Dies away yet lingers, you are born.
I watch tonight, flickering flames
Within a grate, not hurting, bringing
warm delight with each little miracle.
