I woke up with a heartache today,
which might translate into a poem sometime during the day.
Fools rush in where angels fear to tread they say,
So I hurriedly message you on FB
to keep my pain at bay.
Your profile picture bids me stay,
Suitors you have many but I also throw myself into the fray.
A line here, a line there,
to lay my heart bare,
A look at your photos tell me
such beauty is rare.
But as no replies come from your end,
I wonder when I will turn the bend.
I figure I can't write poems again,
Nor from you can I abstain.
Just scribble verses of pain,
To keep myself sane.
