Office Fireworks. Inspirational Point!

I didn't really want to
Stay again at yet another boring
Office leaving party.Not that
I don't feel happy for Melissa
Who is going on maternity leave
Again, her 5th or 6th time.I
Know,but I always say,its up
To people how they live their life
As long as they do not moan if
things go very wrong.
So we all gathered waiting
For Melissa who had been in
The bathroom quite along time,
And although Melissa is the
Typical stereotype tall,blonde
And non business like, she is smart,
That's my take on her,not
Men,and certainly not Mr Pearson
our utterly demanding and male chauvinistic
Boss, I have ever had the not so pleasure
To work for and meet. Not only because he
Always comes out with things like,
'When you finish on your back,Get back
In the kitchen where you lot be long'.
And shaking your hands with sweaty
Palms and heavy breathing.
Anyway By the time we had all finished
The not so expensive mini buffet
Comprising of mainly cup cakes
And salmon paste sandwiches
We all lined up in our regular
Manner, squashing in between the
Photocopying machine and small
oval desks and a water dispenser,
Holding our arms out almost with
the same gifts we had brought 18
Months before. But just as eddy the
Mail room guy was falling a sleep near
Mrs Crabtree Chocolate cake.
Melissa finally walked out of
The ladies toilets looking
Very weepy and not so happy
Any more, I cannot describe what
My facial expressions where doing
Because I could not see, however
I did see Mr Pearson jaw drop a few
Feet and gasps in the room, a
Classic awkward moment.
'Whats er whats er Melissa what
And how are you' it was clear when
Mr Pearson finally managed to speak it
Was con-jelled to say the least.
But that was mainly because
Walking behind Melissa trying to
Be Allusive, was Mr Pearson's wife
Closely followed By Melissa Husband
Both half dressed and Who had supposedly
Been held up, Now we know why.
Although I am quiet and usually
Stay out of issues especially at work,
This needed to be wrapped up and fast,
It was the weekend and it was not
What poor Melissa or even Mr Pearson needed.
I asked everyone to leave and at that
Point Mr Pearson was raging His
Blood pressure was climbing the walls,
His red face an indication of that.
I told them I thought it was best they
All went home and talked about things
if possible, I asked Melissa if she wanted
To stay at mine, but she said she would
Go to her moms and decide what she was
Going to do, while Mr Pearson thanked me,
Which was a first I may add but welcomed
And with that I left them to it, once I realized
They were not going to set the fireworks off on each other Melissa had brought for their bonfire the following night. I can honestly
Say for me I admire how Melissa kept her composer under the circumstance like Mr Pearson who was clearly shaken.I hope next year we don't have any fireworks Unless they are near a bonfire.
