Introducer: "ha, ha, ha,um..well, no commentz about that one! Eh?
Our lazt pre-zenter for the night, iz Rocky Bennet. He'z recited poems
many timez here before. He'z especially known for hiz exceptionally
beautiful love poemz. Up to the ztage, my love boy!"

(Rocky, smiling brightly, comes up on stage. He's known as the one
"good regular poets", so he's always happy to read and get lots of
applause. He's dressed as he always is, in a white blouse, black jeans,
and sandals.)

"Welcome. You are here
to listen
to poetry.
But not just, any
kind of poetry,
but the kind
that fills
you with
thoughts,
dreams,
hopes,
the kind that makes
you leave,
with the words
ringing softly,
in your head.
Tonight,
I hope you will
get that feeling,
from my newest poem
that I am
about to read to you.
Listen,
be entralled.

'Drowning In You'

This feeling of peace
has come upon me.
Oh, my dear,
what have you done
to me?
Bewitched by your eyes,
in love with your touch,
I can feel myself,
falling into the
rushing river
of great infatuation.
Oh, how it ebbs
flying into oblivion,
as I float along it
on this soft raft
made out of your
warm, comforting limbs
and your beautiful,
peace bringing
presence.
Oh, my dear,
what have you
done to me?"

The Audience Reaction

He got a lot of applause, but not as much as, let's say, Aubrey and
Beta. His poem was okay, but not many liked Rocky as a person, so he
never got all of the applause he might deserve.

He bowed after he walked off stage, shook a couple of people's hands,
smiled brightly, and sat near Aubrey.
