After the setting sun.

.Before your breath hits the glass pane
And distorts what was once perfect.
I lift my hand to cradle the droplet which forms.
I’ve been here before, but no of this still makes much sense.
My cheeks red and eyes raw from tears
Of my yesterdays.
my heart a lonely echo of your call.
You was out there in the frosted air blowing kisses
Into raindrops and I would pretend to catch them
Before they would fall.
You would come at the same time every night
Just before the dawn, to herald in a new morn
Where I could contemplate a future eternal,
Youthful bliss of me and you.
Still that was then, but you can still find me by my window
Looking for you, longing for you, to catch your raindrops of love
That colour my cheeks red and make my eyes raw.
As I scratch your name into the steam
And watch another dawn without you rise and fall
Like my heavy heart aching for love for you.
As the sun evaporates the memory of you again
Into another misspent memory of me without you.
