Bus Pass [and BPL] Have Plenty of Fun

BPL was becoming increasingly animated about something called ‘A snow-bomb’.  Bus Pass reckoned this is what comes from believing weather reports off YouTube, but wasn’t one to turn down the chance of a top deck, so off they went one glorious Friday morning. 

The Aberdeen bus had an ‘X’ on the front, which Bus Pass found a bit forward, as they hadn’t even been introduced.  BPL, however, realised this must mean ‘Express’ as the bus missed out several village stops, and came straight into town via the desres area that is, Rosemount.  BPL thought next trip, she’d alight there and meander into town, while perusing their lovely shops, until she spied one called ‘K9 Fertility’. 

Even Bus Pass thought they had seen it all now. 

The real reason for BPL’s urge to go to Aberdeen was a green, sparkly bag, impulse-bought on a previous trip.  It had been on the dining room table ever since.  Calling out, in a ‘Zippy’ voice, “What the hell were you thinking?”  BPL wanted to return the guilt-bag, preferably pre-snow-bomb.

According to sacred ritual, Bus Pass and BPL did their ABCs; Accumulate books, Browse more books, Cappuccino, free if poss. 

BPL noticed Waterstones café had a high percentage of silveries, and what could only be described as a frisson.  BPL looked around, and there, at a table nearby, was the inventor of the second best biscuit in the world himself, the Hebridean Baker!   

Once HB was back at his book-signing booth, BPL asked him for a photograph, and thought, although he was the inventor of only the second best biscuit in the world, Hebridean Baker was, indubitably, the sweetest man in the world.

Hebridean Baker has all the bláths*. 

Nevertheless, BPL vowed, by the red earth of Tara, never to cut her own fringe again.
