Shaking a Leg

Feel like I’m stiffening up on a daily basis. The thought of doing yoga in the cold mornings just makes me want to sit down with a nice cup of tea until the thought goes away.
Something has to be done.
Decided to shake a leg, figuratively and literally. Booked a meditation-dance cycle at Findhorn Universal Hall for Sunday evening. Hadn’t danced like nobody’s looking for a while, and the Universal Hall is a special place to do just that.
One problem from starting to clear out is, I’ve nothing to wear to dance like nobody’s looking in. Used both tracksuit bottoms as mess-friendly DIY clothes. Recycled the last loose-fitting (i.e. wacky dance floor only) trousers, as nowadays, I prefer not to look ridiculous if at all possible.
Thank Christmas, there were chairs for the meditation or I might not have been able to get up off the floor, nevermind dance.
Universal Hall was familiar and beautiful, huge Christmas tree lit up; coloured spotlights dimmed. Scent of sage smudge.
The ‘cycle’ was seated meditation, in a circle, brief walking meditation (step with in-breath, step with out-breath), then twenty minutes of dance, repeat. Ending with five minutes seated meditation. It was just the right calming vibe for this time of year. I open-eye-meditated, taking in the beautiful tree and gratitude of being there. We sent that vibe out to all the places in the world that need it.
Picked a ‘Blessing Card’; ‘Transformation’.
Again!
Anyway, there was Tom Yum soup and a chat afterwards, what’s not to love?
Booked a morning dance event for late January too.
Driving there in the pitch dark, nobody else on the road, headlights up, over the sea, rose the full ‘Cold’ Moon, at perigee.
Sadly, the inky clouds hid the Geminids on the way home.
