When a life is saved by a blood donor, with a rare blood type.
There isn’t any scandal or any hype
Newspapers or magazines, wont print a story, as it isn’t news worthy.
But to the family of the recipient, the donor, should get a medal and glory.

Dentists, doctors and nurses.
Valuable members of our community, not curses.
You’re probably wondering why I’m stating the obvious
But you obviously can’t see, your oblivious.

Did you know this poem was written about asylum seekers and refugees
People who have picked themselves up, from bended knees.
Having survived tyranny
Just want to be accepted by you and me.

I admire them, such brave people, Britain’s silent community
Labelled as a drain on our society.
If they left, who will we have left to blame.
The weather, recession, aren’t you ashamed.

Open your mind and eyes, form your own views
Listen to your heart, and not the news
