Chapter 28
Cyber Soul
“Penny,” Kian whispered as he slid up to her and wrapped his arm around her shoulders, “come back.”
She laid her head against his chest, “From where,” she asked.
Her response did not surprise him. In fact, it relieved him. The poor girl had been through enough already. He figured some of the Terrans were going cause problems. It would be nice to know how and when, but not if it meant risking her.
“I think you were daydreaming.” He lied.
“It’ still night silly,” she then looked around and found she could easily see the horizon. “Well it was night. Did I doze off?”
“Not exactly, you don’t remember anything do you?”
“Ah no, should I?”
“No sweetie, you want to stay out here and watch the big ships fly over?”
She grinned, “If it’s alright?”
“Sure just as long as you are up for it.”
She did not answer, but pointed at a large silver cigar gleaming high in the sky as it caught the first rays of the rising sun. Entranced, they sat together on the ship’s gently curved nose section until the lavender sky turned milky blue.
A dozen ships soon speckled the western sky. It wasn’t long before they glided overhead like giant metal clouds and sank from sight over the eastern tree line.
“I guess I should help them find a suitable spot to land.” Kian said, looking down at Penny clearly no wanting to leave her alone.
“Why don’t I come with you,” she said seeing the concern in his eyes, and wanting to go anyway.
“I don’t know,” his eyes darted away.
“What,” she asked, “what is it?”
He looked back at her. She could tell he was holding something back. “Tell me Kian.”
He edged away from her. “What did I do Kian? Did I say something, bad?”
“I, I think you went forward in time. You said something about darkness below, darkness ahead, but you don’t remember.”
“That doesn’t sound like a daydream it sounds like a nightmare.”
“Yeah Penny, it seems you have a gift not even I possess. I Just don’t know how deeply or how often it will affect you.”
“Then I should follow you to the east, simple.”
“Yeah simple,” he said through a weak smile.
Really hate to do this, but I’m a bit burned out on writing and need to take a break, for a while. So I won’t be posting ant more of my story for a while, hope you understand.

That's fine Ray, I completely understand. Writing should be a pleasure and having a break is the best thing to do.
