Chapter 29
Conquest of Chimera
Kian stumbled back away from Host. Host would have none of it. But then, it was not really Host at all.
“Don’t shrink from your responsibility Kian. You can back away but you cannot get away.”
“Then I’ll just kill this body claim my new one and rip you elitist bastards to bloody bits!”
“Kian the same organic nanobots you used save Kia are still stream through your blood stream. They will not let you die. When you leave your present body, it will be an act of sheer will not a death bounce. Your first step into Godhood will be mankind’s next step toward evolutionary perfection embrace your true self Kian. You were born for this.
The universe is waiting for you. It needs you. Once you have mastered the art of astral projection and claimed your new body. You will then be able to project your consciousness into deep space fulfilling man’s true destiny as God of the universe. Think of the knowledge, the power. In time, you should be able to create your own reality, your own universe. It is your fate to carry humanity’s torch to the deepest darkest corners of the cosmos. It will be your privilege to repair or replace anything you find there that does not please you.”
“Blasphemy,” Kian yelled as he swung his fist at Host, nearly slinging his body to the floor as his fist plowed through the untouchable mirage.
“No Kian, simply your fate. Now you must return to your new ‘family’ and see to their needs, which are great and terrifying, but don’t fear. We have upgraded your abilities. You will need weapons to destroy Wayferra’s enemies. That is what the blue light did, transformed your body into a weapon. Too bad you cannot yet be at two places at once, because of that weakness people you love will surely die. Project now, claim your new body and perhaps it will have that ability, perhaps not.”
“I am not God. I will not be God.”
“Fine, then watch your people die.”
“If I had not found this place they would still die.”
“True, but you would not and we would simply start again until you eventually fulfilled your destiny. Their time is limited ours is not.”
With that, Host stepped back as the insane Lunan Elitist ended his transmission.
“How may I help you sir,” Host asked rebooting his program and resuming his purpose.
“What,” Kian slumped against a bookshelf hardly hearing his request. “Maps, information about Chimera, everything about its’ people and its topography. I need it all.”
“Might I suggest a cerebral down load.”
“A what,” Kian asked as Host motioned for him to follow.
“Such a large amount of information would take an inordinate amount of time for you to acquire optically.”
“You mean it’d take too long to read, great, whatever anything to save time.”
With that, he followed Host through the seemingly endless rows of bookshelves until they came to a small room. There situated in the center of the room sat a sleek black recliner.
“Please sit lay back and relax. The chair will do the rest.” Kian obliged and made himself comfortable, which was easy to do. The chair was so soft it practically swallowed him.
“Approximate download time should be less than an hour.”
“An hour,” that was the last thing Kian said before a kaleidoscope of light sound and image bombarded his mind and rendered him unconscious.
“Kian,” He heard a sweet familiar voice say, “wake up, say something.”
“What,” Kian batted his eyes until Kia’s sweet face came into focus.
“What are you doing here?” He asked, knowing the answer before the words left his mouth.
“We were worried. Are you all right?”
“Yes but no one else is, we have to hurry.” Kian jumped up and was surprised to see Lucius there too.
“Good man Lucius, good man. Glad you found your courage you going to need it. We all are!”

Did Kian dream of the host?
Did Kian dream of the host? Or did it all really happen? Poor Kian has a lot of trouble on his shoulders to bear.
