Resistance’s stubborn face it will not show,
in the glassy sphere
persistence bumping my elbow
I know I must leave here.
Water blue black above my soul
I will now take wing,
I will rise lest frustration takes its toll.
And let the morning sing
Unfolding flower of exaltation
Earth now slows and shrinks
My new wings defying gravitation
Old life sheds and sinks
Time pulls I break free into eternal night
Paper walls I blink and shred
My soul blossoms; exploding flower light
Still wondering if I’m dead!
