Fair As The Sun

Flying too high
To bright yellow such
Feeling as if
One nearly could touch
The bright yellow gold
Is almost in hand
But burn that it may
And fall hard to land
Like Icarus tried
He also did reach
But greed and despair
Though father beseech,
"I warn you my son
you fly much too near
take wing and escape
in seduction my fear."
But others would fall
As Icarus died
Descended in flight
Have been gold denied
What moral at hand
In sonnet to preach
Remember the day
Daedalus tried to reach
But many won't listen
Or pay due concern
Then reach for what glisten
Much too late to learn
