Above the Teme and Ludlow

Park by the teeming river Teme that semi-circles Ludlow
below the castle ruins.
Walk up the steep path and steps through the
woods opposite the castle that towers above
the river and its noisy weir,
accompanied by its rumbling murmuring bellow
echoing up the hillside.
Wend on up with views through the
winter-bare skeletal tree branches,
of the valley
that heads westwards
until find a field gate (to private property)
with a lovely view in the haze
right back eastwards over Ludlow to Clee Hill,
then walk down a bit and around
to the viewpoint over the river and town again
at Whitcliffe Common,
and down the paths and steps
back to the river and car.

Hi Rhiannon,
Hi Rhiannon,
what a great trip out. I just love castles, but haven't been to one since Warwick Castle many years ago. The castle ruins in your photo look so impressive. I know Wales has many, but I've never been to any.
These memories you're making you can treasure I'm sure.
Thank you for taking me along. I enjoyed reading.
Jenny.
