though means of tortured execution;
symbol of Life –
though place of death and blood;
symbol of faith –
acceptance of the explanation:
Christ died and rose for my eternal good!

Hi Rhiannon

Lovely tribute to the cross. My grandkids don't like the crucifix I have in my bedroom. I must admit that the fact it was a present from my sister who died is as much the reason that it is there, as well as the religious signficance of it. Happy Easter. I have the grandkids for a few days, so probably won't have time to be doing any writing or reading.

Jean, I hope you have a good Easter time, enjoyable but not too tiring! We have one son and daughter-in-law here which is lovely.

A crucifix usually has a dying Christ on it, doesn't it? I suppose that does remind of all he had to suffer, but I do prefer the empty cross symbol, reminding that he finished his dying sufferings, and is alive! Rhiannon
