Prison Walls bring hope!*

The walls incarcerated men,
confined, blocked out the tortured moans
of battered minds and bones;
but see! they hold up messages of hope
and courage etched upon their stones,
to give support to those who enter later
to persevere and and know He knows, is near;
– and hear!
those walls have now become
a sounding board – tap tap, tap tap –
that useful wall they rap
so telegraph from cell to cell
not only grapevine news,
but Words of life and hope to tell
remind that that though this evil, hatred, ill
be flourishing, one day all will be well,
and powerful arms can hold – and they
who have His grace and comfort known
could never ever their Saviour true disown.
*this refers to awhile ago under very severe Communist malice against good citizen Christians, accusing them of being spies etc, but other persecution arises now.

Very positive story
Very positive story Rhiannon very courageous, we take things easily so terribly for granted. And history has shown the church is the strongest when persecuted.

Hi Rhiannon,
Hi Rhiannon,
Sadly persecution is a fact of life and this poem is a good conduit of truths. The prisoners can help themselves and their telegraph system is just a start!

HI Rhiannon
HI Rhiannon
I found this story-poem very interesting to read. There is so much persecution even in our modern times, and it is good to know that some found hope while they were incarcerated.
