Coming home from war:
Will things be as before?
will Nellie be waiting?
will the country be grateful
for what we have done –
has freedom been won
from oppression and fear?
Can I forget the mistakes and the mess,
let go of the stress?
God alone knows the whole,
only he can now comfort and strengthen my soul.

Makes you think of the old pop song
Makes you think of the old pop song "tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree" and army song "she wears a yellow ribbon". We've also had soldiers coming back from war it is a terrible thing, war. Thankful I didn't have to go most of our friends were in the army and most of the family, brother, dad, grandpa great grandfather fought in wars, others too uncles and cousins.
Good little story, all the best! Tom Brown

It must be so hard, to come
It must be so hard, to come back full of terrible memories, to find many people behaving "out of sight out of mind". It must feel sometimes, that only those who were alongside you at the time, can understand. Even if you can dance to a tune it might not be the rhythm of your heart
