Scrooge … (IP)
By Rhiannonw
- 1298 reads
… began to laugh,
began to grieve
for those he’d hurt,
and treated as dirt,
began to leave
his miserly misery,
began to care,
began to share,
began to give,
and suddenly live,
began to take pleasure,
in having some leisure
with family, friends –
their troubles discern,
experience concern,
and try to surprise,
(the source disguise)
when sending a gift
to help and to lift
the spirit of those in need,
the hungry feed
… began to be wanted,
and no longer haunted
by ghosts of the past,
the recent, and future
(a shadow of fear
had maybe been cast
of what he might reap
from all of the hate
he’d been sowing).

Sometimes we can make changes
Sometimes we can make changes that benifit others, thereby benefitting ourselves...
Very nice concept, Rhiannon!
