Fire consuming, cleaning, warming,
fed by air, that gives us breath,
water – vital for food-farming,
quenching flame and thirst on earth.
‘Ether’: term they used for mystery
of the constellations’ tapestry
that surrounds our earthly home,
movements in the heavenly dome.
Then some thought it was a medium
for electomagnetism
– waves of light, all radiation
maybe sent through ether (hidden) (?!).
When browsing cyber-sites today
we feel transactions float away
into the ether, ethereal –
reviewable, but not material.

I love the whole thing Rhiannon but especially how you have brought the penultimate stanza together. Excellent stuff.

Hello Rhiannonw, Nearly
Hello Rhiannonw,
Nearly missed this one. Once again a very clever poem. I took one look at the IP and thought I'm not up to the challenge of that one. It looked so difficult but you have made it look easy.
Really clever,
Moya
