You who judge, point out men’s sin,
have you hidden faults within?
Pleased to sneer, contempt you cast,
glad to bring them down at last.
Are you pure enough to throw
stones at blame you think you know?

‘I’m not guilty of a lie’ –
Are you always truthful, try
to be open, don't mislead,
serve your neighbours, free of greed?
‘Would that God the gift would give us:
see ourselves as others see us!’.

...but man, is by scripture, flawed, therefore all human judgement is flawed; by your argument, to see ourselves through anothers eyes is to perceive the world  through another equally broken lens.

Thanks, Yes, Well put! It's God's true view that's important, and that can send us to humbly ask pardon.

But also make us realise it is his judgement of others that is important and he really sees truly, and also to have sympathy and accept that others are fallible, but not necessarily as bad as we might assume and beyond learning  and changing! Rhiannon
