Wood Sorrel

Early spring wood floor-cover:
trifoliate leaves,
each leaflet heart-shaped – unlike clover
sometimes fold along their middle
(shape pyramidal),
at night, or when the light too bright
(which triggers high evaporation),
or storms, or dew bring saturation;
delicate, dainty, petals white,
with violet lines, so fine and faint,
eyelash threads, mauve paint.

Hi Rhiannon.
Hi Rhiannon.
You have a talent for turning detailed description into poetry. This was easy and pleasurable to picture.
Enjoyed.

I agree with Bee, Rhiannon.
I agree with Bee, Rhiannon. Your detailed and meticulous nature poems are a delight, as must that lovely calendar be. You sound quite a talented family. Very much enjoyed this poem, and finding out more about the Wood Sorrel.

Hello Rhiannon,
Hello Rhiannon,
This was a lovely nature poem and your powers of description here, like with Tina's poetry, are very inspired. You and she both seem to see with eyes different to mine. I can enjoy nature but couldl never describe it in the way that you both do.

Hi Rhiannon
Hi Rhiannon
Do you publish the poems about the photographs on the calendar? This is educational, and precise in its description. I must look it up.
