Footpads wrestle for some space
Shih Tzu being
careful on the sidewalk
or walker feet may stomp and maim

a little exercise for the pooch
friends already out today.

A new trend among adults – pets
more than likely doggies
on the menu, preferably smaller types

loud Chihuahuas, friendly Poodles
Pomeraniums and Dachshunds

vying for more than a few tidbits,
knowing cuddling awaits
after this downtown escapade.
