is
wrinkled and needs a
little ironing. Only a white shirt you
say, but working at the
Business Development Bank
demands being natty, a showpiece
without wrinkles.
During the appointment,
after clients
exhaust ear drums having
presented and cajoled
for a business loan, it’s time
to break
leaving business calculations behind
and computer print-outs
even gossip
from a water cooler liaison.
To simply go somewhere,
a hot dog perhaps at the corner stand
where mustard and relish dance
in aromatic fashion
with ketchup trickling down your
shirt front.
