I Can Do

The TV tongue is a messenger, and too
often provides reality, conveys hurtful
thoughts to the brain. Analyzing takes place
until that mass of matter decides. But
today’s statement of fact is on something
interesting. A story catches my eye
where South of Timbuktu, a Dogon man sits
on weathered rocks waiting for celebrations
to begin. His Mask Dance is a prayer for
protection from the vengeance of killed animals.
And he welcomes the rain upon such parched
plains. My coffee waits for the short route to
my lips and from a soft sofa I glance at the
comforts in my home. A bowl of grapes await
and the TV easily propels me away from
the world that man has to survive in.
