I Gave

birth to the snow
that fell—
like a whisper
of tremors turning
rare weather
to sad from glad.
As a wounded soul
it snuck back
into the spotlight
similar to winter-ago.
On July 1st the usual
bangs and booms
from revered
fireworks were
replaced by white
and all may be sad or
glad but not displeased.
Fallen below heavenly
heights it did indeed come
in swoops of wind
and sheets of the usual
white stuff following.
I accept making one small
comment against too hot-heat
and now I pay the price
from one who spoke
a few words of
discontent-- and
requested a snowstorm
to bring coolness
and nature responded.
