I Love

to touch the sky so blue even
though my fingers
are gnarly & not so spry;
to smell the linger of ocean shore
with its line-up of shaggy kelp
criss-crossing rugged ancient space;
to watch swift blue jays whisper
as arrows to backyard feeders
& share goodies with a loyal mate;
to hear neighbour children noise play
soccer & hurl baseballs
as young muscles strongly grow;
to watch an old lady shuffling by
& her face etched in love
looking with interest at the sky above;
to hold a baby with a big smile
who can change this day
& bring peace to my troubled world.

It is lovely how you observe
It is lovely how you observe all around and direct to the positive and interesting. Rhiannon
