I Saw Shadows

of my past

in the form of

a mother-father

and child

arrangement-

they dropped in to

visit across the street

then going now

conversation and hugs

left behind.

This young family

so new to

life’s enchantment

as I was many

years upon years ago-

how they hold hands

so much in love

and caress as a

threesome. I want this

for me once again.
