I Wish

I was far-seeing:

a moon beam path through

darknes -- gurgling

 

rivulets aside ancient paths

pebbles to hinder

rabbits escaping quickly

an owl who

hides behind aged feathers--

 

me in a pup tent

loons calling. A place to rest

and dream some more.

Thank you for your kind comments, Tom. I use a Thesaurus quite a bit seeking the perfect word to match feeling, desire and contemplation. Also I am still learning where to place text in my replies.

This sounds like a childhood memory Richard. I love the idea of a moonbeam path through darkness, I could picture the scene and it was beautiful to imagine.

Hi Jenny, nice to hear from you. Actually I pup-tented in the wilderness and on little islands on a lake up until I was 47 years young. And now my memories are so precious for writing subjects -- also keeps the booggey man away from my brain. We survived the snow-rain-ice snowstorms. Phew. All the best and thanks for reading my poems. Have you.ever tried to publish in single or in a book -- chapbook / print book?

Hi Richard,

no I've never tried to publish in books apart from one. I haven't got much ambition or confidence in my writing to be honest...well apart from it being my hobby and enjoying writing on abc tales.

Jenny, your writing as well as othes is very good. I enjoy so many. I did try very much to publish, very time consuming and found I spent more time trying to market my work than writing. I prefer to write and also post to share. Keep at it. -Richard
