I can see the outline
of a farm
where people chose to live
a small nectar of woods
surrounded by trees
and a hill crowding an old barn.
I can see space where
a horse views his world from
a fenced in area
to become a place of habit
I can see a gravel road
inviting us into this sanctuary
and sky’s blue above
a baby
innocence
Fall colours capture emotion
leaves of calico
dropping in to visit.
I close my eyes and see children
and a dog
brook trout---squealing pigs
and butterfly chasing
momma
poppa long gone
but always close beside me.

dropping in to visit.... I like this because it's clever, you've picked good words together. The fall (of course we have Autumn) goes with dropping to give an image of the falling leaves. And I love the use of calico, it really aides the image.
Sometimes I have single word in my head that describe a person's writing, for instance, Jenny is always serenity to me. Your word for today is positive. your writing is always full of positivity.
