The roiling sky
is like a canvas of
emotion - one minute
sullenness then
puffy
marshmallow shapes
preparing
for fireside singing-
a lull in storm’s arrival
masks a fresh
scattering
of crystallized
droplets with a need
to flush fully onto
a serene spruce woods.

The quiet before the storm
The quiet before the storm. Interesting title. Beautiful Richard, first-class poetry, fascinating. And congratulations on your Cherries!
All the best for the coming year!! Tom Brown
