Life is a Treaty

It’s a rub a-dub-dub journey
with taunts and flirting
an eagle’s nest of strength
with twists and turning
between windy flings
as snowflakes able to tease.

Children are eaglets
in a short drop to eternity
their eyes energized
as lightning bugs
in a forest of silhouettes.

We dream and plan, alive
in the ecstasy of life’s moment.
